Generation4Change NE are delighted to be holding an event surrounding Health and Wellbeing in Stress Awareness month.
For many of us, work is a major part of our lives. It is where we spend much of our time, where we get our income and often where we make our friends. Having a fulfilling job can be good for your mental health and general wellbeing. One in four people in the UK will have a mental health problem at some point….whether work is causing the health issue or aggravating it, employers have a legal responsibility to help their employees
This morning we will hear from Paul Eckersley, Senior Project Manager from Turner & Townsend discussing Work Life Balance as a personal insight into how I went about changing his work life balance with hints and tips on mindfulness to help get the balance that is right for you.
Emily Pearson from Our Minds Work will be looking at Stress and how to avoid stress in the workplace;
– HSE legislation
– Stress Risk Assessments
– Stress vs Good pressure
– Stress and the impacts on mental health
– Ways to reduce Stress
