Networking…what’s it really about and why is it important in business?
Networking is the lifeblood of business large and small as it is vital to have strong supply chains and reliable contacts that can provide you with key market information as well as advice and support. But networking can be a daunting prospect – especially if you are new to it.
Meryl Levington – Head of Student Futures at Teesside University, will give a short guide on how to make the most of opportunities around you and how to spot which networks you and your organisation need to be part of and which you can ditch. After all, it’s networking not ‘notworking’ you want – to make sure you get a good return on the investment of your valuable time.
We will then discuss the pro’s & con’s of networking, demonstrate its importance for you and your organisation, provide some top tips as well as highlighting that its not just about events and golf!
Lastly we will then get to the nitty gritty by allowing you the chance to use those helpful hints/tips by networking with your fellow audience!
