Constructing Excellence in association with Generation4Change North East are delighted to be holding this event particularly discussing the importance of collaborating and why collaboration makes a successful project.
We will hear from Richard Woodhouse, Northumbrian Water Group along with Iain Garfield, Newcastle University and Laura Brown, Bowmer + Kirkland. Nick Deeming, FaulknerBrowns.
Northumbrian Water Group and its framework partners (Esh-Stantec, MMB, Interserve, Turner & Townsend and Wood Group) co-locate in a collaborative office in Seaham. This brings many benefits including the creation of the Run2Academy. This aims to encourage and promote a career in the Water Industry and supply chain to young people in order to help overcome some of the sector skills needs.
There are four aspects of the Run2Academy and representatives from the participating partner companies will highlight achievements, learning points and how working together has produced a dynamic programme that has had a positive impact on individuals and groups.
You will also hear from Richard discussing their Collaboration Framework.
Iain and Laura, at the Construction Forum the theme of collaboration seem to strike a chord with the audience so we are developing our presentation on a similar theme. We will present on how we developed our relationship during the USB project and then highlight how we have changed the client/design team/contractor relationship to work more collaboratively and achieve the best possible outcomes
Nick Deeming, FaulknerBrowns Architects and who also sits on the National Constructing Excellence Collaborative Working Champions Group will speak about The top 10 of what to do and how to do it? 10 themes of collaboration that CE is outlining over 2019.
