Opened in 1885, Crown Street Library is a Grade II listed building in the centre of Darlington. Hodgson Sayers is in the process of removing the existing roof coverings to undertake a full refurbishment reusing the existing slates.
There are several phases to this project which include replacing the existing rooflights, timber replacement and roof strengthening works and the upgrading of all the leadwork to ensure the building can be enjoyed for the next 100 years.
We invite our guests on an interesting journey taking you through the stages involved in this project.
