A few words from this months sponsor…

Give a home and hope will follow…

Homelessness is a huge challenge at Christmas time. To help people journey out of homelessness, issues like addiction, trauma, mental health problems and family breakdowns need to be addressed.

By supporting Oasis Community Housing’s Giving a Home Christmas appeal you will be laying the financial foundations needed to help at least 1,000 people on their journey out of homelessness across the North East in the coming year.

Oasis Community Housing tackles the immediate needs and root causes of homelessness, delivering critical support that so many people rely on every day. We help people cope and thrive in the face of adversity, compounded by the difficult socio-economic times we’re living through. Today our teams are working harder than ever to give people a home; to find onward long-term accommodation and security for the future.

Help to build the Virtual Gingerbread House

We need your help to build of our virtual Gingerbread House. For every £2,000 raised, a gingerbread person will move into the house representing the rebuilding of another vulnerable life devastated by homelessness. There is no ‘typical cost’ of providing comprehensive ‘wrap around’ support for someone facing homelessness because everyone’s needs are different. But £2,000 ensures we are able to walk with someone over the longer term, ensuring they have the support they need to leave homelessness behind.

This Christmas support people facing homelessness on their journey home.
