Architectural Assistant

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 38.75 per week, flexibility with start and finish times

As a result of GSSArchitecture’s continued success, we are looking to recruit a Part I Architectural Assistant to join a well-established, award winning Practice, based at our Newcastle Studio which has recently moved to a new larger premises at Hoults Yard.

Role & Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):

• Assisting with the day-to-day delivery of projects, working in collaboration with the team. You must therefore be able to demonstrate
the skills and positivity to allow you to deliver across RIBA stages 0-7.
• Assisting Project Architects with the production of planning and construction drawing packages – drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local planning authorities and building control.

General Operative

As a general operative, you’ll be working with the site team, supporting them in various areas to enable our projects to be delivered as efficiently as possible.



A joiners role is to provide an effective service, by carrying out all duties associated with joinery works, covering repairs and refurbishment in a range of properties.

Quantity Surveyor

A quantity surveyor’s role is to provide commercial expertise and be responsible for the financial delivery of a project to ensure that it is procured and delivered within budget and to the highest quality.

From early design costs to final figures, quantity surveyors seek to minimise the costs of the project and enhance value for money whilst ensuring that the project meets all legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will assist the site team to manage the building project in accordance with agreed timescales, quality, and cost. You will develop excellent relationships with customers and assist in managing the supply chain, subcontractors and staff.

Accounts Assistant

This role will support RE:GEN Group’s accounting department with their day to day functions, and will play a critical role in the smooth running of the accounts department. This role will be based from our North East office in Sunderland.


A plasterers role is to provide an effective service, by carrying out all duties associated with plastering works, covering repairs and refurbishment in a range of properties.

A Customer Experience Coordinators role is to deliver an unforgettable experience and support customers throughout their journey with RE:GEN whilst improvements are being made to their homes.

To build positive relationships with customers ensuring that they are fully informed, constantly consulted and always listened to.

Project Manager

A Project Managers role is to oversee every aspect of a construction project. This includes planning and delivery, organising logistics, delegation of work and ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, in budget and in line with contractual obligations. Creating a positive health and safety culture, your duties will include supervising all construction workers, their tools and materials and making regular safety inspections.


Site Manager

A Site Manager’s role is to manage all site activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, on budget and in line with contractual obligations.

Creating a positive Health & Safety culture, your duties will include supervising all construction workers, their tools and materials and making regular safety inspections.


This role will provide an effective service through the installation, maintenance and repair works of electrical systems across a range of domestic and commercial settings. You will be provided with a company van.

Experienced Plant Operative

Based in our Head Office located in Prudhoe, Northumberland and Various Sites

The Role:

Operation of plant across a variety of demolition and earthworks sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Working as part of a large team across a diverse range of projects.

Working effectively in line with contract programmes and management / supervisors work schedules.

Carry out daily machine and attachment checks on fuel, oil, water, grease and general condition etc.

Replenishment of the above as necessary.

Reporting of all machine and attachment faults to the Site Manager/Plant Manager/Supervisor and completion of all relevant plant checklists. Repair all minor faults within your own capabilities.

Assist fitters where necessary with any maintenance, service, repairs or improvements.

Representing the company to a wide range of clients and main contractors.

Ensure the correct PPE is used at all times.
